Situato alla periferia della città storica di Gulbene, nel nord-est della Latvia, a circa 180 km da Riga, questo hotel è ospitato in un incantevole maniero ristrutturato del XIX secolo. Tutte decorate con tonalità e atmosfere diverse, le camere del Vecgulbenes muiža sfoggiano mobili d'epoca e splendidi tappeti. Alcune presentano persino frammenti di pareti originarie del maniero. Avrete a disposizione anche sistemazioni stile ostello. Precedentemente noto come Alt-Schwanenburg, il complesso è composto da 2 castelli: il Palazzo Bianco, costruito nel 1840 e uno degli esempi più splendidi dello storicismo nei Baltici, che ospita l'albergo, e il Palazzo Rosso, trasformato in una scuola. Entrambi gli edifici sono stati distrutti e ricostruiti più volte. Il Vecgulbenes muiža è circondato da un meraviglioso parco, ideale per piacevoli passeggiate e gite in bicicletta.
