Located in Virak, at the foot of the magnificent Durmitor Mountain, this authentic stone house, over 100 years old, tells the story of its builder, a distinguished captain of the Royal Army of Montenegro. Carefully renovated entirely in rustic style, it has preserved its original charm and the spirit of times past. Inside, you will find the captain’s chair, as a testament to the family’s history. The warmth of wood, stone, and carefully chosen details create a unique atmosphere for a peaceful retreat in the tranquility of the mountain region.
I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and making them feel at home. What I love most about hosting is helping guests discover the beauty of our surroundings, from peaceful nature trails to hidden local spots you won’t find in guidebooks. My goal is for every guest to leave with great memories and a feeling of connection, both with the place and with the people they meet here.
Beneath the majestic peaks of Durmitor, just 400 meters from the ski slope and only 4 kilometers from the town center, lies this house, a quiet mountain retreat where time seems to slow down. Behind it, the scents and colors of deciduous beech trees and evergreen pines merge, creating a natural amphitheater of peace and freshness. Nearby, crystal-clear glacial lakes shimmer, while the distant sound of the wind and birdsong fills the air. Every window frames a postcard-worthy scene from morning mists drifting across the mountains to golden sunsets painting the peaks in fiery tones. This is a place where rest becomes an experience, and every moment nourishes both body and soul.
