Welcome to our B&B Appelsteiger. B & B Appelsteiger is a listed national monument from the 17th century that has been fully restored in 2018. Equipped with all modern conveniences, but with preservation of monumental details, a beautiful guest house and living space for the owners and their cat has been created. The B & B is in a prime location in the middle of the historic city center of Dordrecht. The spacious and quietly located rooms are located at the rear of the building overlooking the canal of the Voorstraatshaven-Wijnhaven. For relaxation, a spacious lounge with sofa and large table is at your disposal. Within a short walk, there are numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, museums and historic sites. As a guest you can rent one of the available bicycles to take a look outside the city. After many trips in many countries, with overnight stays in mostly small hotels and bed and breakfasts, the idea was born to start a nice and cozy B & B in a prime location in Dordrecht. After a long search and more than a year of restoration and modernization, we moved to our beautiful home and B & B just before Christmas 2018. With great pleasure and pride, from March 2019 we offer our guests a pleasant stay in 2 fully restored rooms equipped with all modern luxuries, including private bathrooms.

The B & B is in the heart of the historic city center of Dordrecht. Being Holland's oldest city, Dordrecht offers many historic and monumental attractions. For art and culture lovers, the old center has several museums, cinemas, a theater and cozy historic streets with nice shops. The entire city center can be explored on foot. All sights are within 1 km radius of the B & B. The "Hof van Nederland" (Dutch court), where during the first Free States Meeting of 1572 the foundation was laid for the independent Republic of the Netherlands (the forerunner of the present Netherlands), is only 150 meters away. View the city from the water with the whisper boat, the Dordtevaer. You do not have to go far for this one-hour cruise, because the departure point is at the Grote Appelsteiger.
