This Van der Valk Hotel offers spacious rooms in a peaceful setting next to the Old Rhine River, 10 minutes’ drive from the heart of Leiden. It includes a fitness centre, an elegant restaurant with an intimate terrace facing the Oude Rijn river. The hotel has a a Golden Green Key certificate, which means that it meets a high standard of environmental requirements. Each of the air-conditioned rooms at Van der Valk Hotel Leiden has a flat-screen cable TV, seating area and a work desk. They also have a private bathroom with a shower, bath and hairdryer. The bar brasserie is situated in the monumental part of the building, where the old inn was situated in 1629. Guests can enjoy coffee, lunch, drinks and dinner here. Guests can enjoy one of the many international gourmet-style dishes including seasonal specialities such as game. On request guests benefit from a free shuttle service to the train station. The shuttle is not avaible during public holidays. Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented to explore the area. The hotel offers a charging point and a secured bicycle shed. The famous Keukenhof gardens in Lisse are 20 minutes away by car. The Hague is a 15-minute car journey from Van der Valk.
