Welcome to the Maurset Cabin. Our lovely traditional norwegian cabin near Hardangervidda. Here we set you up for total relaxation, as well as a seemless stay with all the essential things you need. I take great pride in providing my guests with what they need, to make their stay as good and memorable as possible. Don't hesitate to message me about anything in regards to your stay. I will make sure you have a five-star stay. Personally I enjoy hiking/running in the trails or in the mountains, but make sure you have enough clothes and water/food when you go out. I love to provide a great guest experience and hospitality for my guests, and I hope every guest that leaves their stay will have had a great experience.

The cabin at Maurset is a lovely traditional norwegian cottage. The deer-theme can be seen throughout the cabin, and it's modern facilities will make sure you have a great stay. AC, new fireplace, wifi, EV-charger and free parking right next to the cabin sets you up for a smooth stay. The surrounding nature is very calming and there are great hiking-routes just outside the door. It's very easy to find the cabin as it's just 2 min drive from Riksvei 7. The small grocery-store just a 5 minute walk from the cabin provide you with whatever you need for your stay. The beds and matresses are of good quality and duvet/pillows are down and are great for regulating warm/cold nights. The kitchen is equipped with all that you need to make great food. The grill can be used on sunny days, and we also have a fire-pit which can be used to cook food on as well as being a nice way to settle in for the day. The calm surroundings and fresh air around the cabin is priceless. Watching the sunset from the cabin is a must (hopefully you'll get nice weather on your stay with us).

Eidfjord is the perfect place to experience both the mountains, the waterfalls and the fjords. The little place of Maurset is located before the grand National Park of Hardangervidda, and are also a great place to stay if travelling from Bergen to Oslo or the other way around. You can experience all seasons in one day at Maurset, but the fresh air is just priceless. This is where I find peace from the busy city life in Bergen. I recharge and reset, and I hope all of my guest will have the same experience as I have when staying at the cabin.
