IMPORTANT: Guests must bring their own bed linen and towels. The cabin in mainly rented out to adults and the age limit for renting the cabin is 30 years. Pets may be permitted on request and there will be a supplement of NOK 100 per day, -. It is only permitted with small dogs in the cabin.
In summer you can drive all the way to the door of the cabin, while in winter, you must park cars (extra charge) by the hotel Rødungstøl Høyfjellshotell
ABOUT THE CABIN: Cabin in the mountains of Ål, 1100 meters above sea level. Veslehytta is a log cabin located in a beautiful area with great hiking possibilities in the summer, and cross country trails just outside the door during the winter.
The area, Bergsjø, is also well-known for fishing. There are many lakes to choose from.
Right outside your cabin door you can also find wonderful hiking areas in the summer and fall, and cross-country trails during the winter. Only 3 km from the cottage you will find Skarslia Ski og Akesenter. Here you can in addition to alpine skiing, find Norway's longest toboggan run. This is fun for young and old. Ål Ski Center is located 20 km from the cabin.

Ål is a village in steeply sided Hallingdal valley in the Buskerud region of Norway. The Ål area has around 50 trout fishing waters both in the valley, the rivers and on the mountains. Ål is a three hour car journey from Oslo or around four and a half hours from Bergen.
Visit Ål in winter and you won’t be short for things to do, even if you are not a fan of skiing. Although the area has a great selection of downhill and cross-country options there are plenty of other winter activities to enjoy, including one of the longest toboggan runs in Norway. You can also try your hand at ice fishing in the Rødungen North (among others) in the Bergsjø area.
In the summer, Ål is the perfect place to get back to nature. There are so many outdoor opportunities to explore, most notably hiking, fishing and cycling!
One of the key summertime activities in Ål is trout fishing and there are many areas to explore. Ål is a great location for cycling, especially mountain biking and there is a bike park in the village. The hiking around Ål is fantastic and all enjoy commanding views of the countryside. You can get leaflets about the hikes at the Ål tourist centre.
