Andrew and I purchased the camp in October 2020. We have made significant improvements and changes. We are particular on our clientele, ensuring everyone's safety and an enjoyable stay. We have farm animals for all to enjoy. Any request is welcome. We will do our best to oblige.

Informazioni sulla struttura

This is a privately owned camp ground with beautiful park like gardens, with 7 modern warm cabins with shared facilities, and 1 self contained 2 bedroom apartment. We are located approx. 15 minutes north of Oamaru, 40 minutes south of Timaru. Walk to the beautiful Waitaki river which is 400 meters away. or just relax on your own private deck and enjoy your stay. We offer our guests free unlimited WiFi .Free showers, free use of our BBQ's, enjoy our social area or maybe relax in the lounge/TV room and read a book from our small library. Make us your base so you can explore the surrounding Waitaki district There are many Tourist hot spots with in an hour of our camp ground.

A very safe and friendly small settlement. It boasts a local hotel which serves delicious meals Tuesday to Saturday night. A Convenience Store where you can get takeaway meals, both of which you can walk too. We also have the award winning Riverstone Kitchen, which is 4 km's away. Bookings are a must for meals, or maybe you would like to visit for a wander around the gardens, see the fantastic castle that has just been built, or check out the shops full of lovely treasures. Even an awesome playground to keep the kids entertained. A must visit. And of course the magnificent Waitaki River, the snow covered mountains as its backdrop. Waimate and its Wallabies, Moeraki boulders are less than an hours drive away. The lovely town of Oamaru with its own famous colony of penguins are only 15 to 20 minutes away. So much to see and do. If you don't want to stay in the center of Oamaru we are a great option. A taste of small town New Zealand at an affordable price with country hospitality.
