My husband and I live in Fairlie. We have three boys and two dogs. After travelling around the world we have settled back into the easy lifestyle of Fairlie, with a lucky bonus of owning a lake house in Tekapo. We enjoy biking, hiking, and swimming around beautiful Tekapo and Fairlie.

Lake Escape is an easy 10-15 minute walk to the village centre, where you’ll find everything you’ll need. Delicious range of cafes and restaurants, a supermarket, bookshop and more! Head in the other direction to the village and you’ll find a picturesque lakeside track, leading to fantastic mountain bike trails and frisbee golf courses. Past the village at the bottom of Mount John, you’ll find the beautiful Tekepo Springs hot pools and ice rink. Carry on up Mount John and you will find amazing views the whole area, while enjoying coffee and cake at Astro Cafe. The choice is yours to set off on a 45 minute drive to either Roundhill or Mount Dobson ski fields. We have an easy access driveway where you can drive around the house, so no need for backing out. If there is predicted heavy snow, please park on the road side. There are several walking tracks down to the village. Turn right at our driveway and you will see a walk way down to the main road that is off our street. If you carry on down the hill, then turn right towards the end of the cul de sac, there is a footpath down to the main road by the bridge.
