Opened in June 2013, Matariki Motor Lodge offers modern, air-conditioned accommodation, and a Smart TV that is Netflix capable. Guests enjoy free WiFi and free on-site parking. The Waitomo Glowworm Caves are just a 40-minute drive south and Hobbiton Movie Set a 40-minute drive east. All accommodation has a kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, a microwave, a refrigerator and tea and coffee making facilities. Each double-glazed room includes an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Guests can borrow a book at reception. The property also features a laundry service.
