There are two Studios that adjoin each other. Only one Studio is bookable to guarantee a quite stay. They are private and away from the main house, with wonderful views across to the Blue Mountains. The garden is accessible to our guests and there is plenty of room to move around. The Studios décor is of contemporary design, maintained and kept clean to a high standard. Take a look at the photos to see the layout.
For me, it is a privilege to live here at Blue Mountain View, in Lawrence, and I enjoy the opportunity to be able to share this lovely town and its rich heritage with you. Should you decide to visit I'd look forward to meeting you. Jean.
Lawrence, in the Tuapeka District, was Otago's first gold-rush town. At the height of the gold fever, its population was 11,500; double that of Dunedin, making it one of the largest communities in the country at the time. Today, with a population of around 450, Lawrence is a small but bustling community nestled in the beautiful surroundings of Clutha country. The surrounding Tuapeka area has a population of approx 1,600 and includes smaller townships from Beaumont across to Waitahuna. Lawrence sits on State Highway 8, the main route between Dunedin and Queenstown, and is an ideal location to break your journey or explore our history.
