What makes Espertal unique is that it is beautifully located near Aljezur town, and right next to the national park and stunning surf beaches. The nearest beach, and very popular for beginners surfing and surf classes is Monte Clerigo Beach. At the other side from Aljezur river, which you can see from the house, you will find Amoreira beach, which is linked to the national park. The national park comes with a wide range of hiking routes. Val DeTelha, a well known urbanization and hotel, has a quite a few bars and restaurants to chose from, try e.g. Hugos bar and the restaurant next door for lunch. Aljezur the old town, has 2 parts. The historical town and castle which are great for a little walk around to soak up the atmosphere, and the other side of the town when crossing the bridge (which is also the way to Amoreira beach), and where you will find many amenities such as pharmacy´s, car repair, supermarkets, etc. When venturing slightly further out, set course for Arrifana beach, excellent for beginners surfing.
