This 3-star hotel is located in Portagem, on the banks of the Sever River, where guests can enjoy a public pool. It has free WiFi and views of the historic village of Marvão. The rooms at the Sever Rio Hotel have views of either the Sever River or the mountains, and are all decorated with modern furnishings. Each has a flat-screen TV and an en suite with a spacious shower. Some come with a balcony. Breakfast is served daily until 11:00 and includes a range of local products. The award-winner Sever Restaurant offers several meal options and an extensive wine list. The public pool is just 30 metres away, and the hotel is located in the natural park of Serra de São Mamede, where guests can hike the 5 km route to Marvão. The Roman ruins of Ammaia are just over 1 km away. Sever Rio Hotel staff can arrange bike hire, and free parking is available on site. Please note that as the reception closes at 23:00, you may only enter the hotel after closing time with the key provided at check-in upon payment of a security deposit of €10.00 (the amount will be refunded upon delivery of the key).
