The house is located directly on the river Luleälv and has a large plot with several small buildings such as a workshop and a sauna, which can also be used. The living area is very bright with many large windows and a view of the Luleälv (river). The kitchen is open to the dining room and the living room. In the living room there is a sofa bed that can be pulled out into a full double bed with real mattresses. The living room can be separated from the dining room by a curtain. There is a fireplace in the dining room, which creates a cozy warmth throughout the house in the cold months. There is a double bed (180 cm wide) in the first bedroom and a bunk bed (90 cm wide) in the second bedroom. As the sun almost always shines in summer, there are curtains in both bedrooms to darken the room.

We are a Swedish-German family: our daughters Elin & Tyra and Sabine & Sven. Sven comes from the north of Sweden and so we have learned to love the area during our visits. In 2021 it felt too cramped for us in our city apartment in Zurich during the pandemic and we spontaneously moved to Luleå and found with our house a real oasis in the stressful everyday life. After one beautiful year with many precious memories we moved back to Zurich so that the children can continue school in their original classes. But we will come back as much as we can and hope that you enjoy your stay as much as we do.

Luleå is only 9 kilometers away and the church town of Gammelstadt (Unesco World Heritage Site) is also 10 kilometers away. The local recreation area Bälingeberget offers wonderful excursion possibilities and is about 5 kilometers away. The nearest cross-country ski trails are in Bergnäs (5 km) and Ormberget (15 km). You can go alpine skiing in Måttsund (12 km).
