Located in the Presidential Pathways tourist region of Georgia this bed and breakfast is close to Columbus, Atlanta, Pine Mt, Callaway Gardens, FDR State Park and Ft. Benning. Holly House of Hamilton is an 1880’s Victorian home in the Heart of Harris County, Georgia. We are located just 20 miles north of downtown Columbus and 85 miles from Atlanta. Hamilton is a small town in a rural community yet we are suburban as well due to our proximity to Georgia’s two largest cities. Your hosts at Holly House are Don & Judy Archibald. They are California transplants having relocated from the city of Manhattan Beach, a suburb of Los Angeles, to the rural countryside of Harris County, Georgia in the Autumn of 2012. Married for 40+ years they are still very much young at heart and delight in their respective occupations. Don recently retired from his General Construction business in California and together they handle the everyday duties of the Bed & Breakfast at Holly House using their unique talents. When she was just four years old Judy asked her Daddy to build her a playhouse like one she had seen on a Sunday afternoon drive. Dad drew up the plans and a tiny to scale home was created. Judy’s Grandmother handpainted a set of Forget-Me-Not China and her Mother taught her how to entertain! Judy still loves to use pretty china and now her Playhouse is 6,149 square feet! She just loves to share this charming old home with others and “Play House!” The Picture of Domesticity!
