Welcome to Lakeside on Lanier, your serene retreat on the shores of Lake Talquin in Tallahassee, FL. Nestled near the historic Jackson Bluff Dam, our cozy home offers a perfect blend of comfort and nature. Lake Talquin is renowned for its excellent fishing, including bluegill, crappie, and bass, and is surrounded by a lush floodplain forest that showcases Florida’s rich biodiversity, with over 400 plant species and abundant wildlife such as turkeys, alligators, and over 100 bird species. Our home provides everything you need for a memorable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee bar, 1000 mbps high-speed internet, Roku TV, and a wood fire pit for cozy evenings. The double-decker dock offers stunning 180° lake views, and the deck is outfitted with patio furniture, a propane fire pit, and a charcoal grill. A fish cleaning station and ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers add to your convenience. We’re excited to offer two tandem kayaks with paddles, adult and youth life jackets, and safety whistles for complimentary guest use. For your safety, we kindly ask all guests to sign a waiver, whether or not you plan to use the kayaks, to ensure a safe and enjoyable stay. Lakeside on Lanier is ideally located just 3 minutes from Blount Landing, 25 minutes from Doak Campbell Stadium, and 30 minutes from the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The home features 2 well-equipped bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a stocked coffee bar, essential bathroom supplies, and a washer and dryer accessible via the exterior deck door.
