Latjeskloof is a family-run boutique citrus farm owned by Alan and Hazel Hall. This small corner of the Citrusdal valley feels remote and offers tranquility, and the opportunity to relax and unwind away from the pace of daily life.
The farm has one luxurious, stand-alone cottage, as well as a couple of simpler rooms which from part of the main farmhouse. Breakfast is offered at the main farm house.
Peaceful and quiet, there are magnificent panoramic views of the Kouebokkeveld Mountains and the Cederberg. You can even see the Sneeuberg in the distance – highest mountain of the range. For star gazers, the clear air provides a breath-taking starry night sky.
We enjoy sharing the beauty of our farm with visitors who come seeking tranquility and relaxation. We are happy to share our knowledge of the area and to take guests to see the rock art on our farm. We have two dogs who also enjoy welcoming guests to the farm.
The Citrusdal valley is intersected by the Olifants river, the artery for the Citrus industry which is the main income generator of the area. Also grown in the area is rooibos tea, wine grapes, and deciduous fruit, including peaches, apricots and nectarines.
For tourists the area is popular for hiking, mountain biking, flower viewing of the renowned Namaqualand daisies, rock art and hot springs.
