This oasis is paradise in the Karoo. We have created living spaces outside. Relax, read a book, or just look up into the sky and hear the silence and peace of Merweville. There is a communal labyrinth - perfect for star gazing! There are chickens roaming free. The town is safe and friendly. We recommend a walk around the town! Go see the beautiful church and visit the restaurants. There is a Karoo drought at the moment so we cannot fill our pool. There is WiFi available.
Samson the House keeper is available if you need him for anything. He loves guests and you just need to ask him and he will be too happy to help. So please make it clear if you want Samson to be around or not. He is happy to wash your dishes/ make beds every day on request. Samson and his wife live on the property, so please, if you need anything just find him to ask for assistance. There is free WiFi available - please ask him for the password.
Nite stars are magnificent when the moon is not full. Rising of the moon at the same times as the sunset is a magical time too. Bicycle riding round the village late afternoon is a must. Ask Samson for a Bike to ride. Lying outside on the beds watching the stars. And eating outside in the cool air. Braaiing early evening lamb chops from our local butcher. Ask Samson he sells fire wood. You can walk around the village or ask Samson for a bicycle to ride. We have a little restaurant called Die Boekklub which you must visit to eat a meal or coffee and cake. Say you guests of Cindy Spencer
