The room was bright and comfortable with awesome view from the windows. The breakfast was substantial and delicious with home made bread. It is quite and pleasant place, not faraway from Sankt Gallen.

Breakfast is included, and a lovely restaurant offers delicious meals. Corinne was a fantastic host.

Everything was perfect, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was good, the rooms were clean, we even had a separate door to the room to make it soundproof. Our room was next to the breakfast area, so it gets noisy in the mornings, but we couldn't hear a thing with the extra door closed. The whole experience was great!

If you like traditional places, you should visit Waldgasthaus Lehmen. You would be surrounded by natural forest with a view on Appenzell Alps. One of the most common sound during the day is various bells on cow necks. We were lucky to see how Appenzell farmers bring their cows to the mountains. The farmers have very beautiful cloths! On Saturday we saw a group of farmers, who came in their traditional dresses to Lehmen restaurant and had a few hours of singing and enjoying food. The restaurant is very good, if you like Swiss food. You must be hiking in that region, otherwise food might be too heavy. I had pork steak, pork schnitzel and beef steak with noodles and mushrooms. All dishes were very tasty. You have to try local beer! And Lehmen whisky! Highly recommended! Very nice! Service is impeccable, fast and attentive. All personnel is very friendly. Breakfast is wonderful! I would prefer, if it started at 7 instead of 8… Our room 17 was great, soft pillows, comfy beds, bath, simple but cozy design. The hotel has a playground for kids. Parking is huge.

Just how one would imagine a typical Swiss village house. I regret that I didn’t spend more time in the area. Good breakfast. Clean and perfectly maintained. I will definitely go back.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The location is perfect — just a short walk from the train station. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely love to come back again!

I liked the fact that it didn't feel like a hotel while still having all the amenities I'd expect from a hotel. The beds were also the comfiest I had on that part of my trip. The view from everywhere was gorgeous, but honestly that's just that entire region of Switzerland. What a beautiful country!
