The Orient is one of the nicest places I'll ever stay. Everything from the staff, to the pool areas, to the rooms, were incredible. A special thank you to Reza for his hospitality. The pool areas were beautiful and it was such a peaceful way to start my trip in Indonesia. The attention to detail was incredible and I will be sure to visit the Orient on my next trip to Jakarta. Fantastic location and the room is quite newly renovated and quite up to date in terms of design. Room was large and obviously very clean. Have plenty of facilities for use as well. Overall, great business hotel.

I made the right decision staying at this historic hotel (the first international 5-star hotel in Jakarta - Indonesia I think). There are a lot of historic photos hanging around the bar area. The room is spacious enough and the bed is quite comfy. I got a free upgrade to a larger room with a bathtub and the view. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to my needs. I would say the service here is so personable (all staff were friendly and helped me with every small little things) which made me feel at home immediately. The hotel is connected with Grand Indonesia (a big shopping mall) at the ground floor so you can just walk from your hotel room to the shopping mall, very convenient. I also tried the sauna and swimming pool here, all very great facilities. Thanks so much and I will definitely be back if I have the opportunity.
