IMLAUER Hotel Schloss Pichlarn is a family run hotel, situated on an elevation in the Ennstal valley in Styria, at the foot of the Grimming mountain massif. My girlfriend and I were doing a tour of Austria and we wanted a calm place to simply switch off and relax. Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn was an excellent choice. We actually liked it so much that we stayed an extra night. We chose the breakfast and dinner option. I have to say that the price was more than fair for Austria during the peak summer season. The entire experience was incredible. The hotel had organized transport for us from the train station. The staff was really polite (especially Patrick). Everything was really clean and the view from the winter garden is incredible. There are a lot of visitors who go there to play golf, but there are a lot of other experiences to be had. We went on a day trip to Hallstatt. It is just 45 minutes by train. You can also do day trips to other lakes. Much better than going from Salzburg. It was really an incredible experience that I will remember for a very long time. I highly recommend it. Also, don't forget to go on a quest and visit the local chicken farm. There is an automated store where you can buy local delicacies from the farmers!

Located in Ramsau at the foot of the Dachstein Mountain, Aparthotel Sunrise features a spa area with a sauna. The spacious apartments all offer a south-facing balcony with mountain views. Very nice big sunny apartment, clean, bread service, sauna. Great location near cross-country skiing paths, two very good restaurants nearby.

Located right next to the hiking trails and the slopes of the Schladminger 4-Mountains-ski-circuit within Ski Amadé Area, Hotel Schütterhof in Rohrmoos offers a 2,000 m² spa area. It's an absolutely amazing hotel. Amazing food - with lunch included in the price - gorgeous pool and spa area, family-run, traditional yet modern, super kind and helpful staff, straight on the ski slope, beautiful views. This might be the best hotel I ever stayed in for skiing.

In beginning of January there was hardly any people on the slopes. I will be remembering this holidays for a while...... :)
