We had a great experience at Le Chateau d Étoges, very elegant and quiet, staff was friendly and helpful; they give us few suggestions to follow our Champagne Trail/Tours. We had diner at one of their restaurants and it was delicious and service outstanding.

Mylène was superbly helpful in getting us settled, making activity and restaurant suggestions and being available as needed. The apartment was well equipeed and the snacks were very welcome. The sauna and jet tub were a welcome relief after a long journey and active days. The views from the many windows were beautiful.

Our host was extremely friendly and helpful and has done a wonderful job updating and renovating the building. Our room was very attractive and comfortable and the air conditioning system (hard to find in this area of France) worked like a charm! The location was quiet but within easy driving distance of a major city and all necessities. The setting of the accommodations is park-like and very pleasant. Breakfast was good and our host was eager to provide whatever we needed. Big shared kitchen area.

Our stay was the surprise package of our 6 weeks in France and Switzerland. For a very modest tariff, the rooms were simple but clean and functional, with lovely exposed wooden beams, a separate toilet room and bathroom with walk-in shower and a delightful breakfast. Parking is free and easy to access. But the real surprise was the optional dinner, starting with champagne and hors d'oeuvres in an impressive vaulted wine cellar, before progressing to the homely dining room to savour more courses of delectable food prepared with pride by Gauthier, the friendly host/chef/sommelier, who also provides a choice of wines throughout the evening as he sits at the table with co-host, Hélène, to join in conversation with guests from around the world. What a relaxed experience! And if you need more, Héléne offers an optional Spa, massage services and beauty products. Thank you for an exceptional stay!
