The rooms were clean, the spa spacious, the water had good temperature. The food was exceptional and the wine tasting was so great, we will never forget!

Located in the famous Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region, this 5-star hotel offers luxurious rooms and a modern spa area with 2 indoor pools, a bathing grotto and a hot tub. one of the best hotels. very tasty food in the restaurant. wonderful spa. check out at 10 is a little early for me, but this is the only and not significant drawback

This was without a doubt the best accommodation on our road trip trough Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Czech Republic. It exceeded our expectations in every way. The lovely quiet village of Hercegkút is a hidden under the radar gem in the Tokaj wine region, in the East of Hungary. To see and visit the 'Hobbit' style wine cellars there was a unique experience we preferred to the unfortunately now commercialised Valley of the Beautiful Women in Eger, which was like Hercegkút back in the 80s. We especially loved the boutique hotel feel of Hotel Kőporos, its location, the large terraces and phantastic views our rooms had, the aircon, the breakfast, the pool, in short EVERYTHING! It was not the cheapest accommodation of our trip but the price was reasonable for what we got.

We recently stayed at this property and overall had a pleasant experience. The hospitality was excellent, and the place was impeccably tidy and clean. The 2 bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable,( each room has 1 large double bed and 1 sofa that can be made into a double bed) The rest of the house is rather small and compact. All was beautifully prepared when we arrived, and the air- conditioning was already on to warm the place!! The property is well looked after, well-equipped with all the essentials, and very clean. The owners, whom we communicated with via WhatsApp, were incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay. In conclusion, although there were some small drawbacks, such as the lack of window screens to keep the local bugs out, the property was well-maintained and met our needs. We would consider returning in the future and recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

Room was cosy, bed was comfy. The breakfast and dining options are outstanding, showcasing local flavors and top-notch quality. The surrounding area is a paradise for leisurely walks. There is even a tranquil little lake just a few minutes walk distance from the house. For a peaceful forest getaway with exceptional service and natural beauty, this hotel is a definite must-visit.

The Gróf Degenfeld Castle Hotel is situated amidst picturesque surroundings in Tarcal, in the heart of the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region and welcomes all lovers of great wine and nature. This is a beautiful hotel located in a beautiful setting! There is a lovely patio off the front of the hotel that one can sit on and enjoy a glass of wine or a coffee. The breakfast is good and we had one dinner on-site that was very good as well. The server who served us dinner was fantastic at explained the traditions of the food to us in English - it made the meal very special. The pool area is gorgeous and we really enjoyed some R&R around the pool. In the evenings we walked through the vineyard to enjoy the sunsets! It is a peaceful spot and we would love to go back again. There is a local restaurant nearby as well that we walked to for our second dinner - that was a quick walk and also very good food. Above the vineyard there is a chapel, owned by the hotel, where people get married or take wedding photos so that is nice to visit for the view as well.
