The room was comfortable, and my personal highlight was the handmade mugs, carefully selected by the owners at a local farmers market, showcasing beautiful Japanese ceramic craftsmanship. Sipping coffee while gazing at the river became a special ritual during my stay. It was a peaceful, authentic experience that I’ll always remember—truly the highlight of our trip!

It is clear that the owners and beautifully carefully renovated an old traditional Japanese house. It is a joy to stay here! Night skies are especially beautiful.

We stayed in the guesthouse while cycling around Shikoku. The guesthouse was very close to the beach which was lovely. We stored our bikes just outside the main entry in this small town. The guesthouse was very clean and had laundry facilities. We ate in the restaurant that was part of the guesthouse and had a plentiful meal.

Located in Kochi, Hotel Liberty Kochi (Adult Only) is a love hotel offering air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. This love hotel offers a 24-hour front desk and room service. This hotel is magnificent! The room we had was huge and looked out over the river. The bathroom was spacious too. The setting was in a calm area so very peaceful. Don't be put off staying here by the 'love' element! We're a couple in our 60s and we felt very welcome and relaxed here. There's nothing sordid or kinky about the hotel: it's simply one for adults only, with a few items supplied in the room that you may wish or not to avail of. It was definitely the nicest hotel we stayed at during our ten-day holiday.
