Very good location, you can ride the bike to temples. It was very clean and spacious that I was stunned with the price because it was affordable. We had the whole place to ourselves and aside from the complementary breakfast, they can also prepare your choice of lunch and dinner. I woke up very early in the morning to catch the sunrise and read a book at the roof deck it was very relaxing.

The food cooked by his wife was amazing—made with quality ingredients, prepared beautifully, and full of bold, authentic flavor. Easily one of the top three meals we had in Sri Lanka. If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

If you stay a week or more a kitchen can be used. Every day around 18.00 hours you can see elephants quite nearby at one of the thee lakes. 2 or 3 or 6. Very exiting. They come to drink water. If you want anything like water bottles, soaps, toothbrushes you can ask from the ower. He will supply those. Specially this place is very close to the town as well as the Sri Maha Bodhiya and Ruwanweliseya.

The resort is located in the nature, which means you have the possibility to experience and see different animals (especially birds). The pool and food was great. The owner organized a private bird watching tour at the Haparana lake, which was great and even for free. The owner even managed to organize 1st class tickets for a train ride from Kandy to Ella with short notice when everyone else failed to do so! The staff was extraordinary friendly and helpful! It is very rare to find a staff like this! We highly recommend this place and would be more than happy to return to this resort again.
