Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. This hotel features a hot tub, a ski drying room and shared lounge and laundry facilities. It was a welcome rest as we arrived by bike. The front entrance is vintage and unassuming…but behind the long hedge is a huge beer garden which serves very tasty and reasonably priced food. We didn’t go in to the restaurant as the beer and garden food sufficed. The room was comfortable and looked in to the courtyard. The staff were all very friendly and were able to accommodate our bicycles. We really enjoyed our stay and recommend people go in the front door and check it out.

The location on the lake/pond is divine and serene with ducks and a swan family. it is a beautiful tranquil spot and a great cabin with full kitchen and brand new bathroom. Comfy bed looking out to the view and a balcony to sip a glass or two or have a meal.

All very new and well equipped. The best kitchen I’ve seen on my trip. I stayed in one of the cabins with lake view, but I got really into the camping vibe because of this place. Just be aware you have to go outside to go to the bathroom/wash your hands - no sink in the cabin. Not a problem for me though.

The breakfast was lovely and the home itself was a beautiful example of the Victorian era. You feel transported back in time.

The property features city and quiet street views, and is 12 km from Taieri Gorge Railway. Guests can use the sauna and the hot tub, or enjoy garden views. We absolutely loved our stay. We were greeted upon arrival and immediately felt welcomed and at home. The room was perfect and even had biscuits and lollies. The bed felt like a marshmallow and we even had our own balcony which overlooked the water. The bathroom was super clean and the shower was great. The house is centrally located and is super close to Larnachs Castle which we absolutely loved. We couldn’t recommend staying with Paul and Paulo more. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Dunedin!
