The food is delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Yang—big thanks to him for his excellent service and warm smile. The rooms are spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. Such a lovely place to stay; I’ll definitely be back!

Archway Motels & Chalets offers quiet and secluded accommodation, only 200 metres from Lake Wanaka. Such a great place to stay. Very friendly welcome at reception who informed us of great places to visit around the area. The motel is walking distance into town. The room was so tidy and you can tell effort was spent in replacing fixtures for improvement. Bathroom was big and space in the living room to sit around and enjoy watching some TV in the evening.

I stayed in one of the cabins with lake view, but I got really into the camping vibe because of this place. Just be aware you have to go outside to go to the bathroom/wash your hands - no sink in the cabin. Not a problem for me though.

Although the house is on the main road, the studio is at the back of the building and very quiet. You can walk to the city centre, but it takes time, so it is better to go by car.
