Cardrona Hotel features an iconic on-site restaurant and bar. You can enjoy the picturesque gardens while sipping a drink on the patio. The family room was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped with a small kitchenette. We appreciated the hot tub (shared) after a day up the mountain. Dinner and ambience in the pub for dinner was excellent as usual. The mulled wine and seafood chowder are a must!

We used it as a base for snowboarding Ohau and treble cone. The fireplace & hot tub were a massive hit for us after the hill. Star gazing was also impeccable from the back yard! We also checked out the lake nearby (recommended from the host in their welcome book) and had a quick cold water plunge. Whole experience was excellent. Comfy beds. We will be back.

I appreciated the small fridge in the room, pressure in the shower and how quiet it was at night. I also walked to town and it was easy and fun. There’s a lot to do in this part of the world!
