Property is run by very welcoming and nice family. We were warmly greeted. Very good breakfast, but too much for us, and they changed it according to our wishes. Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.

Located within a minute walk from Palugaswewa railway station and 4.3 km from Habarana Lake, Bissa Villa offers a private lodge with air conditioning and mosquito net. Nicest family in Sri Lanka and the best food we had on our entire trip. Lovely setting, good rooms, and very helpful.

The couple were fantastic, offering free walking safari upon arrival and seeing at our door with tray of tea and biscuits after long day on safari. Offering wake up calls (also with tea and biscuits) and fantastic breakfast and lunch on safari and also homemade Sri Lanka dishes for dinner each evening. Food was so tasty and they really put so much effort in to make it special and check that we were happy and had eaten enough. The lodge is clean, has everything you need (very effective air co) and cool bathroom with net at top to look out at nature and surroundings! They also arranged everything in terms of safari trip to Wilpattu and we got to see sloth bears and a lot more! Really loved our stay here. 100% recommend!

I had an amazing stay at Atha Tree House! In the given price range, they provided a free breakfast, which was very delicious. I also ordered dinner, and it was both tasty and great value for money. The highlight of my stay was hearing elephants walking under the treehouse at night—an unforgettable experience! Highly recommend this place for nature lovers.

Location: You feel right in the jungle, very peaceful. Pool is lovely. Management is friendly and helpful. The son, Passn , was always with a wonderful smile. Very helpful and efficient in organizing transport and safari ( without pressuring you). Clean, large room. Bathroom a little cramped. Shower gel provided. Net on bathroom window is good. Wifi mostly good. Good breakfast, with choice of eggs as well as pancakes filled with coconut cream, toast, fruit, juice and coffee/tea. Last day, amazing breakfast, with string hopperd and dhal, in addition to everything else. Variety of dinner choices. Vegetable curry and kottu were delicious. Cute cocker spaniel!

I believe this guest house is ideal for people doing a Wilpattu Safari: - it is located right next to the park entrance. - it is not luxurious, but who needs a luxurious hotel if you are going to spend the entire day on safari anyway? - the AC worked great, the bed slept well and it has an ensuite shower and toilet. - they were happy to supply lunch and breakfast for the safari, and prepare dinner as well. I ate very well there. - the hostess was very kind and happy to help with questions. - if you are lucky you may already spot some animals from your window! I saw a wild peacock and monkeys. But apparently elephants also sometimes roam through nearby fields.
