Beautiful teracce, spotless clean and modern rooms. Also, the price is great. We stayed in similar rooms in South which were 4x more expensive. It’s just 10min away from the centre and believe me - Kandy is much better outside the centre :D You can order your food there or just uber it. The host Harshana is wonderful. He has travelled/worked abroad and we had a lot to talk about. He helped with the visa extension too, very grateful for that. P.S. Don’t go trough the mountains, follow directions in booking.

The food was another highlight. It wasn’t fancy or over the top—it was just really good, honest cooking made with love. Every meal felt comforting, like something you'd hope for after a long day. This place isn’t just a hotel—it’s a place where you feel truly looked after. We’ll always remember it.

The room was spotless and very well maintained, making it super comfortable. The family was incredibly warm and welcoming. They truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It was clear that they value people more than money, which made the experience feel so genuine and heartfelt. The breakfast was also really delicious and freshly prepared. Such wonderful, kind people. I’d highly recommend Tedro Homestay to anyone looking for a clean, cozy stay with the friendliest hosts!

Guests at the lodge can enjoy an Asian breakfast. It’s a beautiful house with beautiful gardens. The caretakers are fabulous. Breakfast was delicious.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The venue, arrangement, food and hospitality were all top tier. Would definitely recommend to a friend or a colleague to pay a visit to stay here. Mr. Pathirana, the owner warmly welcomed us and briefed us about the facilities and amenities. He recommended us the exceptionally good Pittu (which we claim the best Pittu we ever had) cooked for dinner by his cook, Mr. Chaminda. And he recommended to us their special Kiribath (milk rice) made from a special rice for breakfast. The room was very cozy and had everything we needed. The room had a bathroom and an outdoor shower carved out of a single granite. The backyard of the room was a small hill, grown with flowers and vegetables. On top of the hill (about 25m-50m away from the room), there was a swing decorated with flowers. The dinner and the breakfast were filling and tasty. Mr. Asanka warmly arranged the table for us. After breakfast, Mr. Chaminda walked us to their nearby land to show us their vegetable garden, water lily (Olu) pond and the well next to the Kubuk tree. It was an unforgettable stay for us and we thank Mr. Pathirana, Mr. Chaminda, Mr. Asanka and Mr. Pathirana's wife for that.

Offering a terrace and mountain view, Solitary Cottage Dunhinna is located in Teldeniya, 25 km from Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and 38 km from Bogambara Stadium. This lodge provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. This was the best staying we have had in two months in Sri Lanka. The house is the perfect size for a couple, everything worked very well and the views were breathtaking. The dog that was living in the garden was super cute. We were so happy with the way Eric was always available for any inquiries we had. Specially recommended the food, we order dinner and it was such a privilege to be able to have a wonderful dinner in the terrace.

It’s in a hilly area with a rural feel to it and so local walks are pleasant if you want to take a break from the city.
