We liked everything about Hares Rest. The location is perfect and the Lodge is very comfortable and clean with a fabulous vista surrounded by beautiful gardens. Alli and Glyn, the hosts were friendly, welcoming and helpful and they provided us with everything we needed for a perfect stay. The breakfast hamper Alli provided was very special and included her fresh homemade bread and granola, locally sourced fresh produce and her homemade treats, were delicious. The tranquil and relaxing environment of the lodge was fabulous and is near to Lake Taupo and a number of attractions in the surrounding area.I would not hesitate in recommending Hares Rest.

Karen and Rob were very personable and inviting. The lodge is beautifully decorated with something to feats the eyes upon in every nook. Our room was magnificent with an incredible view. Breakfast was thoroughly enjoyable and the complimentary bottle of wine was a lovely touch.

Die Lodge ist sehr sauber und das Zimmer und das Bett waren sehr bequem. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt wirklich genossen, so sehr, dass wir traurig waren, abzureisen. Ich würde jedem, der die Gegend von Taupo besucht, empfehlen, hier zu übernachten, nicht nur wegen der Unterkunft, sondern auch wegen der wunderbaren Gastgeber.

The food at Huka Lodge is stunning, absolutely stunning and the staff are so friendly and helpful willing to do absolutely anything to make your stay that much better. The views from anywhere at the lodge are amazing as are the gardens and birdlife.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. Cozy place with an amazing restaurant and decor. I appreciated so much the welcoming and warm approach of the manager Krista, the French waiters and the receptionist. All professional and made our stay more enjoyable!
