The location was 10 minute drive from the centre of Taupo, breakfast was excellent. Angie and Garth were incredibly friendly giving us help with places to eat and all around the local area. Despite the cold weather in New Zealand for summer we had a fire in the lodge to keep us warm.

Set on 17 acres of countryside on the banks of the Waikato River, Huka Lodge boasts an outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, free airport transfers and a spa pool. What's not to like? The food at Huka Lodge is stunning, absolutely stunning and the staff are so friendly and helpful willing to do absolutely anything to make your stay that much better. The views from anywhere at the lodge are amazing as are the gardens and birdlife.

The Chalet itself is beautiful, located in a quiet scenic area just outside of Taupo. Nina was a wonderful host, attended to our every need and had great recommendations. Breakfast was full, cook to order and everything fresh.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. The location was outstanding - gorgeous drive to the lodge. The grounds of the lodge were breathtaking and the chalets were absolutely perfect. Comfortable beds, super friendly staff. Had dinner in the lodge - it was fantastic - tasty and oh so good! Highly recommend both the lodge and restaurant.
