Our hosts David & Sue were very friendly and helpful. We requested dinner for the evening which was a lovely home cooked meal. We had a great time that evening, enjoying their company. I loved Sandy's service by giving us all the info about the mountain and how to be prepared with passes and mapping it out for us to make sure we get the best experience which I appreciated soo much! The place itself was soo clean and felt like home. Beautiful lounge area and clean kitchen and nice open outdoor area to enjoy food with the best view in the area! Highly recommend and I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip :)

Set back from the road, it is quiet and the rooms are a good size, with comfortable beds. The friendly greeting from Rhys on arrival made this a much more personal stay than most places I've stayed with work and is very convenient near Ohakea.

Alpine Chalets si trova a National Park, a 15 km da Monte Ruapehu e 16 km da Taranaki Falls e mette a disposizione il WiFi gratuito, un giardino con terrazza e la vista sulla montagna. tutto è stato perfetto! molto piccolo ma recentemente ristrutturato, sono stato molto bene. La camera era già pronta al mio arrivo e ho potuto lasciarla anche dopo l'orario del check out, così ho potuto riposarmi di più la mattina dopo il Tongariro Alpine Crossing! Sarebbe bello avere anche un piccolo tavolino, magari che si piega sulla parete, per fare colazione o mangiare qualcosa!

Owner knows so much about the region and the location if perfect for all outings in and around tongariro area.
