Zur Alten Mine is situated 5 km outside of Graskop. Guests can walk around the dam in the gardens or hike up to the old mine. Peace and quiet, beautiful location. Nice wooden cottages with good beds and bathroom. Very helpful and kind owners. Great breakfast. In the winter they supply wood for the dure place and electric blankets which are very comfortable, as it can be cold during the evenings and nights. We would definitely book again!

We had a great stay. It has breathtaking views from executive room. The rooms have excellent design, comfortable and clean. The hosts are nice. This lodge is a must-visit on a trip to Kruger park or back just for relaxing. I very rarely rate hotels as 10, but this is one of the few.

Spedzilismy tu cudowny czas. Wszyscy byli bardzo mili i pomocni ! Nasz kierowca Thomas robił wszystko żebyśmy zobaczyli jak najwięcej zwierząt :) Udało się również zobaczyć zwierzęta przy wodopoju ! Dobre drinki, piękny basen, bardzo dobre i starannie przygotowane jedzenie :)

Incredible location well located in Hoedspruit! Ruan and his family (owners of the lodge) were super welcoming and so friendly. They let their home become ours which was a very personal touch! Would highly recommend!

We felt very special in this beautiful place. The service was outstanding. The pool area was the perfect place after an exhausting safari. Also the view platform is very nice and if you are lucky you can see some animals as well. Plus point: There are three very friendly ostriches in the place. Thanks a lot for a very special time for us. Highly recommended! Dinner was also delicious in a modern and artful Restaurant.

Perfect location, right next to incredible reserves in greater Kruger. One day we woke up to giraffes right at our doorstep. The owner is absolutely lovely, helpful and attentive to every detail. She helped us arrange all our outings, food orders and everything we asked. The food she made was the most delicious we had in South Africa, even compared to our 5 star JHB hotel. We are vegetarian and have some food allergies and she catered to every need. The room itself is gorgeous with one indoor and one outdoor shower, and one indoor and one outdoor bed to watch the milky way at night and hear the lions roar. Truly magical.

I want to thank the staff of Maroelani lodge. We stayed may 15-17 and it was a Amazing experiencie. The service, the atenttion, the rooms, the food and the game drives. We had a welcome drink that was so good & also all the wines and cocktails were excelent. It was my birthday and they made it extra special, one of the most wonderful ones. They even sang happy birthday to me with a cake and decorate my room. It was the best service, stay here. You won't regret it. Thank thank you for the incredible stay.

The staff treated us like family. The room was gorgeous (with a pool and outdoor showers so we can enjoy the water while being eyed by giraffes, impala, and baboons), they organised a night outside under the stars in an observation tower, a game drive that we'll never forget, a picnic by the river, a chance to meet elephants at a nearby reserve, and many delicious meals that we enjoyed on our own. The perfect retreat regardless of whether it's family or something romantic. I can't wait to come back.
