True southern hospitality shown to us! Our bags were collected at the ferry and taken to our unit so we could get to our tour on time. Kaka Retreat was wonderful and we even had a Kaka land a arms length from us at the unit.

Με πανοραμική θέα στη θάλασσα Tasman, το The Bay Motel έχει θέα στον κόλπο Halfmoon στο νησί Stewart. Our host Ted met us at the ferry on arrival (we had pre arranged this) and took us on a short drive to introduce us to Oban. Our studio was spacious with all the facilities needed for our 2 night stay. We arrived late afternoon to an already warm room. Views from the balcony of Half Moon Bay in the late afternoon sun were splendid. Fresh milk was provided and appreciated. The Motel is an easy walk to town and to walking tracks. Ted and Donna were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Ted gave us tips on a shortcut to Golden Bay and pointed us to places to eat. He also took us back to the ferry when it was time to go - then went above and beyond by delivering back to me my charger and cables that I left behind. We wholeheartedly recommend The Bay Motel.

A great hotel with a fantastic location. The room is better than the pictures with a fridge and small kitchen area. Highly recommended.
