We love this place. It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.

The guesthouse owner is a quite enthusiastic and kind person. When I arrived at the house with tired hiking body, he returned the money which I paid more in booking.com forwardly at the situation that I didn't know I paid more.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara features outdoor and indoor hot spring baths, only a 2-minute walk from the World Heritage Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes. I love the design of the room which is very cozy and modern. The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.

Wonderful "old world charm" hotel with private onsen indoors & a hot springs river flowing outside! Much appreciated after a day of walking the Kodo trail. Dinner & breakfast very good. Bus stop outside the door. Staff extremely helpful & friendly. A delightful origami gift from the owners beautiful little daughter ❤️

Offering tranquil outdoor hot-spring baths with nature views, a Nakai-san personal attendant, karaoke, massages and sumptuous Kaiseki dinners, Yunominesou is a 10-minute walk from Tsuboyu hot spring,... The level of service was simply outstanding! From the moment we arrived (not quite dressed for any occasion, after a hefty day hike in pouring rain), to the moment we left, the staff was extremely helpful. When we found out late in the evening our planned train connection wasn't available after all, they helped us find an alternative and offered bento boxed breakfast, only to come knocking on our door 5min later when they thought of an even better option by driving us to a bus stop a few villages away early the morning. Special thanks to Tak from the front desk! Dinner and breakfast were also an exciting culinary journey :-)

Hot-spring baths and massages can be enjoyed at Nakanoshima, located a 5-minute ferry ride from Kanko Sanbashi pier. Traditional Kaiseki dinners and rooms with views of Nachi Bay are featured. Everything works like clockwork here.

Perfect location, right in front of the bus stop! Clean and comfortable. Host is very friendly. They don’t provide food but the restaurant is also in front of the building.
