An attractive room, looking out on the crater: lounges to relax on outside. Also enjoyed the meals we had here. But the best part of our stay was having Rose guide us to the lava cave. He explained so much and was very patient with our frequent stops at one stage. He also ensured that we caught early morning transport for a flight from San Filipe..

Casa Marisa 2.0 presenta un giardino, una terrazza, un ristorante e un bar a Portela. There are too many things to name. Mustafa is the best host ever who puts so much care into making sure the guests have their best experience! We arrived early (at 8am) but were able to check in and our room was amazing (bungalow and the hammock on the top with volcano view) Mustafa was so kind to recommend us so many activities (mountain biking, wine tasting…), arranged our hike to the volcano, allowed us to use the shower even when we already checked out, made sure to help us to get to the airport in time for the flight… Fogo is such an amazing island, but what we miss the most is our stay at Casa Marisa :)

I was upgraded to the nicest room they have - it was very spacious and with breathtaking view over the sea and Brava island. Very pleasant staff, tasty breakfast and swimming pool. All of it for a decent price. Totally recommended!

Situata a Chã das Caldeiras, la casa alcindo offre un bar, una reception aperta 24 ore su 24, un ristorante e la vista sulle montagne. Very friendly and helpful staff. Helped us with finding a local guide who spoke English. Maniole made the experience for us - such a lovely, patient and kind man. He enabled us to climb the volcano.

TCHAN LOVe offre la vista sulla città a Portela e dispone di ristorante, miniclub, bar, giardino, terrazza e area giochi per bambini. Superb place to stay in the village of Cha das Caldeiras. The guesthouse is relatively new and taken well care of. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Convenient location just at the beginning of the hike to Pico. There is a hotel bar and restaurant on site with reasonable prices for water and drinks (indeed the same price as in the shop across the street). Do yourself a favor and arrange the food at the restaurant before you arrive, as the food here is absolutely delicious! Also possible to buy a packed sandwich for the early morning hike to the Pico, and perhaps have the breakfast packed (actually not much difference as the breakfast is bread, cheese, boiled egg and some fruits). Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Hotel Salinas São Jorge offre un giardino, una terrazza, un ristorante e un bar a São Filipe. Everything. Katya is very welcoming, cooks very (very very) well and takes care of her client like no one did in Cap Verde. We have spent 2 weeks in Cabo Verde and haven’t met anyone that kind, welcoming and helpful. The place is also amazing. Out of nowhere, facing the sea, natural swimming pool… you name it! Katya also offers a few options to discover Fogo island like pico de fogo.

Casa Adriano & Filomena si trova a Portela e offre un ristorante e un bar. Questo bed and breakfast propone un parcheggio privato gratuito e una cucina in comune. Una famiglia stupenda, mi hanno fatto sentire a casa nonostante sia molto lontana da lì, sono stati super gentili e disponibili. La vista è stupenda, da qui si può osservare la natura spettacolare che lo circonda, per non parlare delle stelle che sono splendenti, il tutto accompagnato da ottimo cibo e umanità. Superconsigliato!!
