One of the highlights of my stay was the elephant safari organized by the hotel in the Kaziranga National Park. Biman and Bandita (“BimBan”) are the young progressive married couple who run this property. Not only are they very knowledgeable and help to guide you to make the most of your stay, they are also quite fun and you may just end up out on the town having cocktails with them and their friends if you are so inclined. You can tell they have an artistic spirit by just looking at the photos of the property, where you can see baskets hanging from the ceiling, nice large tables, cozy couches, and little knickknacks, often rock ‘n’ roll and other interesting themes throughout the rooms. The place is clean, the beds are comfortable, you can even ask for your laundry to be done at an additional charge to pay the woman who does it. It’s off of the busy street and so is quiet, but is still walking distance to interesting places and restaurants. They live with their family in one of the other units in the building, so they’re there readily available if the need arises. This is one of those unusual properties that one should feel privileged to stay at anywhere in the world, let alone at the relatively inexpensive rate for what is provided. This was one of the best experiences I had during my entire travels in India, and I like to think that we became friends, over time and cocktails. I have only positive things to say about the property and my interactions with this couple and their family.

He will help you with whatever you need. Nice family, nice people. Rooms are basic but get the job done, with a common area where people can socialize. He has another hostel with the same name in Shillong that is also worth visiting. Free filtered water and easy to reach from the bus and train stations. Good local food, buses within walking distance too. Would recommend.

Das Zimmer und das Bad waren geräumig und sauber und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen und würden auch wiederkommen.

This hotel is very well managed, sparkling clean, safe and quiet, there is a big garden with all sort of plants, a pound, gazebo and benches so you can easily relax. A oasis of peace, very appreciated in the busy city of Johrat. Owners are very kind and helpful. There is also a little basic restaurant.service. Accomodation suitable also for long stay.

The place is within 10 min walking distance from where the shared tuk tuk leaves you (coming from the ferry ghat). It is on a side nature alley but it is close to the main road and market and to the Garamur Satra (3 min). The rooms are ecologically built with bamboo and clay and they have a nice terrace area in front of each room. The place also has a restaurant on site and has a really good rice beer. Hot water is on request with a bucket. The best part is the owner - He is very nice, positive, knowledgeable and helpful and will make sure you have the best of your time on the island. Whatever you wish for he will make sure you get it. He helps you with everything: from suggestions and maps of where to go, to transportation (renting bycicles or tuk tuk), organizing to see a donyi polo ceremony, staying at a satra, dropping you off with a scooter at some nearby places. And everything with a big smile! Highly recommend this place!

I can definitely say that this is one of the best properties in Tezpur. The owner couple is very nice, responsive and welcoming, and their service is excellent. The hygiene is very well maintained. It’s a perfect spot for couples and families (not suitable for house parties). The place provides homely and cozy experience. The location is very quiet and peaceful with good road network connectivity in the heart of Tezpur.
