Although somewhat limited in English, the staff was very committed to helping us in any matter. Definitely recommend visiting the lounge on the 10th floor for drinks (some are free in the evening) and a very pretty small shop, full of locally sourced products (culinary and small arts). After our evening Onsen round, the hotel offered amazing Soba to close the night. We took the breakfast in the morning and were not disappointed, as it features plenty of very delicious options.

The staff were really friendly and made us feel at home, the location was excellent and central, and the room was clean and comfortable. The snacks were a great touch after a long day of travel. The host, Hiroshi, is a true gentleman. He came to pick us up at the train station, gave us a lot of tips and was really friendly and kind to us. If you come to Biwa lake, this guesthouse is the place to be.
