I loved the friendliness and helpfulness of the host and his family. He was able to help us arrange transportation to/from the guesthouse and also the safari jeep. The location is very quiet despite being by the main road. It’s located some distance from the safari but still relatively close by. we managed to see the elephant and even a leopard! The room itself was clean and well planned, all the basic amenities were provided for us.

My stay at Corner Cottage will remain a positive memory of my time in Sri Lanka. Gihan and his wife truly care for all of their guests, looking after their wellbeing and also allowing for independence and privacy. It felt to nice to be well cared for, especially when traveling alone. Gihan can help arrange tours and activities and will take you himself in his Tuk Tuk when available. They have bikes for hire and I enjoyed riding all around Anuradhapura a couple of times. Their food is amazing! In the past they owned a restaurant and it shows. A huge variety and the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. I am gluten intolerant and they were very accommodating to my diet. You can tell they care a lot about their business, investing in it and caring for their clients. Extend your stay, you won’t regret it. There’s much to see In Anuradhapura and you’ll not want to leave Corner Cottage.

It was exceptional. The staff was professional and attentive and made us feel very welcome. The whole resort was clean, spacious and beautifully designed. It's located in a small forest with butterflies, pheasants, a variety of wild birds and cute chickens. You can take a walk, play badminton, go to the nearby lake or visit the temples in anuradhapura or mihintale - it's very close. The hosts can arrange tours as well - we went to Anuradhapura with a guide and it was very fun and a fair price. Also the food: try the Sri Lankan breakfast it's delicious! We loved the tree house - it was so relaxing when it was rainy. They even offered room service. :) long story short - a must stay. Ps: please note that there is nature around. It's a tree house in a jungle-like forest. There are occasionally frogs and other visitors on your terrace. We loved it though.

Vorteilhaft gelegen im Zentrum von Anuradhapura, bietet die Unterkunft Emerald Home Stay Gartenblick und eine Terrasse. Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt bei Bandara und seiner Familie. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig, die Einrichtung neu und die Betten ausgezeichnet. Bandara und seine Familie sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber, die gern bei jeder Gelegenheit helfen. Neben den vielen Aufmerksamkeiten (Säfte, Kuchen usw.), die wir während unseres Aufenthaltes erhalten haben, konnten wir dort auch Frühstück und Abendessen genießen und können es ebenfalls sehr empfehlen. Bandaras Frau ist eine tolle Köchin. Das Gästehaus wurde erst vor wenigen Monaten eröffnet, nachdem die Gastgeber in den Ruhestand gegangen sind. Daher ist Bandara auch interessiert, Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erkunden. Daher haben er und seine Frau uns zum Beispiel nach Ritigale begleitet, bevor sie uns für eine angemessene Aufwandsentschädigung in Habarana bei unseren neuen Gastgebern abgeliefert haben. Wir empfehlen den Aufenthalt sehr.

Die Unterkunft MONI FARM HOUSE WILPATTU bietet klimatisierte Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten in Nochchiyagama. Staff were amazing and host was easy to contact and flexible. Location was well out of the way with an amazing lake within a few minutes walk with trials to walk also bit perfect for Wilpattu national park. Food was really nice and the room had everything you could need.

Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.
