Our bedroom was great with a comfortable king bed and great shower/bathroom. Everything was very clean and the hosts were very friendly without being intrusive. We were the only guest so had the common area to ourselves as well and enjoyed the excellent included continental breakfast. Highly recommend The Salty Bushman for your stay in The Catlins.

We are in our early 60s and have always travelled a lot over many years. Upon our arrival we met Ali, who gave us the best welcome we have ever had anywhere. Kitchen was fully stocked (pots, bowls, plates, glasses, mugs, silverware, other utensils, and a full range of appliances and cleaning supplies). Heater worked well. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Bathroom was great. And the views of the ocean from both the living room and the main bedroom were nothing short of stupendous.

Walked in and instantly breathed a sigh of relief at being there. The kitchen was wonderfully fitted out, the addition of staple food items was great - if we’d decided to cook, or had been there longer.

This was a lovely room , opening onto the backyard with excellent views over the beach. Short walk to the beach for a long and lovely stroll. Fifteen minutes to the Point Nugget Lighthouse if you want to photograph it . Mike , the host is very friendly and helpful . Would stay again if in the area .

Seascape Accommodation has 2 modern apartments, all fitted with quality furnishings, free WiFi, a Smart TV and views across the ocean to the Nugget Point Lighthouse. Seascape Accommodation in Kaka Point was an amazing spot for our stay. The location is perfect, just across from the beach, making it easy to enjoy the coastline and the sunrise. The place itself is modern, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was warm and cozy. We were lucky enough to do some stargazing as the clouds cleared up at night. The only hiccup was a fire siren test in the evening that startled us, but it turned out to be a scheduled practice in the area. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Joan and John have created a lovely space in a beautiful spot right by the sea. Kaka point is stunning. The apartment is spacious, really well equipped and super comfortable with a gorgeous outlook. They are the consummate hosts and meeting them made our stay even more enjoyable.
