Rooms are spacious enough (we stayed 2 adults + 2 kids), with an amazing view of the ocean. The hotel has an in-house restaurant "pier 19" that is also really good and with a lot of options. Another plus, they have coffee, tea and drinking water available for free at all times for the guests. Location is great, in the main island "Isla Colon", yet is not in the middle of all the restaurants and bars, so is very quote and peaceful, but anyways within a 5 min walk to where all the action is..., is a perfect combination.

Loved sitting on the terrace with a cold beer overlooking the Caribbean sea and watching the sunset 😎. You can hire paddle boards/ canoes & take them straight into the water from the pier. Bikes also available to hire. Rebecca was a great host & always available to help with any questions. The owner, Sterling, was a top bloke who kindly dropped us back at the airport! It’s about a 20 min walk to town or you can jump in a taxi for $1 each. (During the day walk along the beach to cut the corner off & avoid the traffic on the main road)

The communal spaces to eat are really nice and you feel a real hostel vibe even though the rooms are private. We loved the hotel beach that is easily accessible from the grounds. We stayed in the Estrella cabin that overlooked another quiet beach, so we’d fall asleep to the waves every night. There is a Toucan rescue who comes by a lot. I got to see her during my shower along with seeing a sloth from our balcony. I paid to get a massage done on site, and Josie did an amazing job! Owners and staff are also all extremely nice people.

Tropical Suites Hotel is an oceanfront boutique property located in the heart of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Rested on the shoreline, the hotel is a short walk to over the water restaurants, shops and attractions. The view. The quality of food. The location. 💯 Amazing team that went above and beyond with helping and providing tips and recommendations. The communication prior and during our stay was top tier.
