Everything. The carefree village. The magnificent 50s and 60s Swiss design furniture. The sweet, always ready to help staff. The excellent and varied breakfast fare. Freshly prepared eggs.. The location on the edge of the village, only 5 minutes from some very nice (read good food) restaurants. Well worth paying a bit more for a Mountain View balcony room. That made our stay amazing - we appreciated all the different skies on and over the superb mountains with their glaciers- blue sky, dotted with clouds, low and slate coloured rain clouds, totally submerged by cotton ball clouds coming and going into the valley.

We stayed here after my wife broke her leg and could not access our chalet. My wife was on crutches and the staff could not have been more solicitous in helping to make our stay as comfortable as possible. More generally the staff were all exceptionally friendly and helpful, excellent food, superb service, front desk were helpful with arranging further emergency accommodation to cope with my wife's accident.

Friendly and helpful staff. Provide information before we arrive and respond to questions promptly. Great location walking distance to train station, gondola station, and town. Wonderful view from hotel and room. Room is very clean and they provided room cleaning 2 times in a day. Best mountain view from my balcony. Breakfast included during our stayed and we had Christmas dinner in the hotel restaurant, delicious food. Enjoyed our stay in Regina Hotel. Amazing stay, highly recommend. Historic building, and INSANE views from the room balcony. Staff were extremely attentive, breakfast was fantastic. Short and easy access (although uphill!) from the Wengen train station. Perfect base for the area, and easy to leave car at the Lauterbrunnen train station before taking the short train up to Wengen. Highly recommend.
