Location is perfect, although there are some construction works just across the street ongoing, so it might be noisy depending on the room. But I loved everything about the stay. Special mention to very welcoming and helpful reception staff.

Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. The hotel is very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast buffet was amazing! There is a quiet cozy garden in the back where we had our free welcome drink and the stress of the traveling dissipated right away! The staff is super helpful and friendly!
