The Strand hotel in Schmerikon is situated in a fantastic location directly on Lake Zurich. The accommodation has its own small beach, which is reserved for hotel guests only. Location and secluded place. Proximity to the lake which was what we were looking. I just loved the place.

Overlooking Lake Zurich, this historic hotel in Meilen is only a 15-minute drive from Zurich. The Hirschen am See Hotel offers a restaurant serving Swiss and international cuisine. Great waterfront hotel. We had a nice room with a beautiful view of the lake, large bathroom, clean comfortable beds. Staff are wonderful! Best breakfast and fabulous dining area, beautifully decorated. Short train ride from Zurich HB main station to Meilen station, then you can walk to hotel (10min. walk) or take the 925 bus just outside the station to the bus stop just before the hotel (Obermeilen stop). Quiet area with not too many stores or restaurants but easy enough to get a train wherever you want to go.

Located in Thalwil’s centre, Hotel Sedartis offers rooms with a balcony or a terrace and free Wi-Fi. Excellent location and lovely hotel. Convenient to Zurich airport.

The hotel was extremely clean. Snacks and water were provided in the room. You could also fill your bottle of water in the corridor. Magnificent location to public transport (Pffäfikon SZ train station/bus 180). Additionally, there is a nice park at the lake nearby where in summer days one can chill. A morning run at the lake was a cherry on the cake!
