Our stay at Nala Narty was nothing short of exceptional and truly became the highlight of our trip to Egypt. We originally arrived in Aswan planning to board a Nile cruise, which was unexpectedly canceled the night we arrived. What could have been a major setback turned into a blessing in disguise, thanks to Sherif, the incredible host and owner of Nala Narty. Sherif went above and beyond to help us completely replan our trip—from arranging activities to sharing local insights—and ensured that our experience in Aswan was not only salvaged, but far exceeded our expectations. We ended up doing all our sightseeing and excursions with Nala Narty as our base, and we’re so grateful we did. The property itself is stunning—peaceful, beautifully designed, and deeply connected with nature. It provided the perfect calm and relaxing atmosphere we needed. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious, and the care and hospitality we received made us feel completely at home. What started as a disruption to our plans turned into one of the most memorable parts of our entire journey. We left Aswan feeling rested, inspired, and incredibly grateful. We can’t recommend Nala Narty—and Sherif—enough.

Samir the manager is absolutely exceptional that he not only helped us with organising day trips in and around Aswan, but also prepared a most memorable birthday dinner.

Beautiful house on Elefantine Island. Everything brand new and of good quality. Host Abu picked us up on arrival, organised a free sunset tour (just tip the guide at the end). We also booked transportation to Abu Simbel and Luxor at a very reasonable price through Abu, in very comfortable cars. We were able to use the washing machine for free, there is an equipped kitchen to use. Food is very tasty. Beautiful rooftop restaurant.

The terrasse is very charming and on the Nile river, with in the desert view on the other side and a few minutes by boat to the botanic garden. Ahmed is the kindest host I’ve had. He helped me a lot with my visits in Aswan but also with the organisation of my trips to Luxor and Abu Simbel. He is very well connected with the Aswan community and I could organize my visits directly with him which made it so easy to enjoy the time in Aswan. A big plus, at the hostel, there are canoe available from the terrasse to enjoy solo trips in the Nile. Very cool.

The Jamaica Guest House is a family business that is on a quiet island and on top of an adjacent relaxing café downhill. Ferry trips frequency to mainland are roughly every 10 minutes; and private boats can be arranged. The manager helped us with our beautiful to Abu Simbel Temples tour 😍 and have given us guidance to other tours. Th guest house is less than 30 minutes from Aswan International Airport and less than 10 minutes from Aswan Train Station.

There is also a pleasant atmosphere of hospitality, they helped me with buying a ticket and a tour to Abu Simbel.
