Do yourself a favour and book a couple nights here because they fill up quickly (4 bed dorm), and you will love it :) Andrea the owner is a wonderful host and speaks perfect English to help with your queries - on my first night the wind was CRAZY and blew something over on the building site nextdoor which leaked water into the hostel. The floor flooded but I as soon as I told Andrea, she sorted it out right away. Very professional!

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and located at the edge of Lake Atitlán, Hotel Toliman is set in San Lucas Tolimán in the Solola Region, 45 km from Antigua Guatemala. Gorgeous. The rooms were spotless. Grounds were beautiful. Included breakfast delicious. We visited other towns around the lake and I loved how mellow Toliman, the town itself, was. Yea - it takes a while to explore from here but to us, that was great! It made for less of a touristy/party vibe like the other towns had. The hotel itself was perfect - Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments are located on the shores of Lake Atitlan in Santa Cruz La Laguna and boast excellent volcano views. Free Wi-Fi and kayak use are provided at this property. Incredible views over the lake, friendly staff. Couldn't recommend more!

I had a wonderful stay at Sunrise Lago Atitlán. The house is a true gem by the lake — simple, yet it has everything you need. There’s hot water in the bathroom, a fridge and stove in the kitchen, plus a coffee maker and, of course, coffee. The location is peaceful and perfect for nature lovers. The highlight of the house is definitely the balcony with a hammock, where you can relax and enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the lake. The host was incredibly kind and helpful — he even helped carry my luggage to the house. Sunrise Lago Atitlán is about a 5–10 minute walk from the San Pablo dock. It’s definitely easier if you’re traveling with a backpack rather than a suitcase, as the path isn’t ideal for wheeled luggage. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and connect with nature!

I like staying with the little family, they had cute chickens and a rooster. I love the view from their house. I had a private balcony in a private apartment with shower, bathroom and dressing room; bed with bug net and a bunch of windows to see the lake outside and volcanoes.
