The breakfast was delicious; Pearl is an amazing cook, and Ranjan joined us for a walk around the area. If we ever return to Matale, this will undoubtedly be our stop again. Thank you for everything. To put it simply this is probably the best place we've stayed in Sri Lanka. The view is magical, the staff is welcoming and so helpful and the food is delicious. The owner, Supun, will take you around visiting the highlights of the area. He's a friendly and knowledgeable person that is always there to help. Highly highly recommended! You will regret leaving!

An incredible place where you can sleep in luxury in the middle of the Sri Lankan jungle. The staff is wonderful and friendly, food was excellent. Everything's organic and fresh and homemade. So tasty!!! They their own cardamom ice cream, cardamom grows outside your room, as well as lemongrass and mini-guavas. Waking up to the breathtaking views of the Sri Lankan mountains, Going to sleep with the noises of the wet jungle- everything is an adventure in this place. (Watch out for bloodsucking leeches!) I did a half day trek up the knuckles range with their guide, thanks to him I was lucky to spot some leaf nose lizards. What a beautiful creature. Highly recommend this place.

The host and his family are really kind and helping to show you around. Learned a lot about Buddhism as well which was really nice, it’s a really nice experience and you can really see the local life there. Not a lot of tourism.

Book this place when you wish to see many things in and around Kandy! The owners went the extra mile to make me super happy. He is a safe driver who showed me many places per day in his comfortable car and she cooked fantastic meals for me with fresh herbs and spices out of their own ‘jungle’. They are a lovely and honest family, the best hosts during my world-travel :-) Also: the place is a gem in the mountains, beautiful decorated and with a clean pool. I felt really at home here.

This was an unexpected find in Matale. A bit off the beaten path, but an easy walk or trishaw ride to town. Its location was a plus since it was peaceful and serene. The owner helped arrange a guide to Knuckles Forest Reserve. The meals were also delicious and authenticity Sri Lankan. We would definitely stay here again.

At first we didn’t really know what to expect since there weren’t many reviews on booking, but we were really enthusiastic about this place. The location is stunning, it’s in the middle of nature. I also really liked the people that were hosting. The food was amazing and they made a bonfire at dinner. The woman also took us on a really cool hike through the rice fields. It was an amazing experience all together.
