Excellent information leading up to the stay. Wonderful welcome gifts like freshly baked bread, farm churned butter and delicious fresh farm milk. Just fulfilled the experience for our family. Ouhout Cottage was spacious, rustic yet tastefully decorated and clean. Staff were polite and assisted in any manner or form. The Farm Stall was a delight and were privileged to watch them milk the cows up front. Well worth it, book early to avoid disappointment. Professionally run establishment which only lends to a better experience.

El trato de Ashley fue genial, estuvo atento a todo. Nos recomendó varios sitios y estuvo pendiente de nosotros en cualquier cosa que pudieramos necesitar, pero a su vez manteniendo la distancia para disfrutar de nuestra estancia. El lugar es precioso la pena que el tiempo no acompaño del todo, pero por lo demás fabuloso. La casa estaba muy limpia y las camas muy cómodas. Además, Ashley les enseñó a nuestros hijos los animales de la granja, estuvieron encantados y disfrutaron mucho del jacuzzi exterior calentado con leña.

El Tugela River Lodge ofrece alojamientos independientes a orillas del río Tugela, a 22 km al norte de Winterton, a 13 km de la reserva natural de Spioenkop y a 22 km del Museo Winterton. We really enjoyed our time at Tugela River Lodge. There’s so many things to do within the property like kayak, mountain bike, trails, and little farm area. It’s very clean and the staff and owner are super friendly and always willing to assist. The farm stall has a lot of supplies, so if you forget anything you wouldn’t even need to drive out. Very pet friendly as well - everything we could do with our little mini dachshund. She loved her time there and the fenced off area is big and safe. The wood-fired tub is an amazing way to wind down. The view is amazing and Bheki always comes to help fire it up ahead of time. All in all a fantastic experience as a couple, and I’m sure it’d be lovely for a family and friends group too!

Located around a privately owned lake with views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Sani Valley Nature Lodges offers secluded chalet accommodation in a tranquil setting with game viewing... We stayed 3 nights at the bushman lodge with our two daughters, age 2 and 4. In the five weeks we’ve travelled the country, this accommodation was high in our top 3. It’s remote, but it’s spacious rooms and balcony with jacuzzi, the tranquillity of nature, the views, delicious food, etc, the whole family loved it. The photos do not do justice to the lodge, it’s more beautiful. Thanks Gareth!
