Switzerlandif you are travelling the great ocean road and you are looking for an extraordinary boutique hotel experience, drift house is the way to go. the rooms are large and designed with attention to detail, forming part of what feels like a little design campus in port fairy. the dinner we had at the hotel was outstanding, as was breakfast. we received the friendliest and most personal treatment from maddie, and it almost felt like leaving a friend after only two days.

Easy city to navigate, sightseeing venues central, easy to locate. Staff in shops professional & friendly, happy, good service is shops. Good range of shopping & eateries available, only criticism would be that we couldn’t find a coffee shop open after 4pm on Sunday, apart from the RSL. Botanical gardens worth visiting. Walks, exploring, R and R, shopping and eating out. We loved walking out on the rock jetty and talking with local fishermen. Enjoyed Marriners Lookout, great sea views and vegetation of the area. Torquay was much larger than I thought.
Torquay was much larger than I thought. I'm not sure I would like it in Summer as I think it would be very crowded, but great if you like the beaches. Plenty of places to visit and explore the surrounding areas and wineries, especially Jack Rabbit, Scotchman's Hill and Belllbrae. We had a relaxing family holiday at Anglesea. The location of the holiday park right next to the beach and river meant we barely had to get in the car. Don't let the small hamlet atmosphere fool you - there's a lot to do and see in Peterborough. I mean, what a location! Wild beaches and protected bays, at the mouth of the Curdies River and a freshwater lake. There's lots of wonderful places to stay - we stayed at the Seahorse Villas and it was perfect - location, facilities, booking etc. The locals are so nice and the food is delicious, But the location - the golf course is spectacular, the coastline is spectacular.
