- From US$208.02 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,701 reviewsthis hotel is very well located close to the large shopping main street and not far from the beach ( a few hundred meters). Despite the fact the hotel is large and overbooked the breakfacst was perfectly organised with a large staff cleaning the tables as soon as they have been making free . There was a very large choise of everything and it is one of the best breakfast we got in a 4 stars hotel we staid for a while .Guest review byPhilippeFrance
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 607 reviewsThe mobile home was comfy and clean, incredibly well equipped. The lady we spoke to was lovely! The site was conveniently located for the town and was immaculate. The little welcome pack contained a loo roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, and washing up sponge, brush and cloths. The bed was comfy, and although there is limited room around the bed to get dressed, the rest of the unit had ample space.Guest review byEmmaUnited Kingdom
- From US$116.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 1,103 reviewsAside from the beautiful location, I must say the hosts were absolutely incredible. It started out with us getting an upgrade to one of their beautiful villas, and after an amazing stay, they even helped us when our flight back home got cancelled; they helped find a suitable alternative and even let us stay half a day longer, free of charge. We're incredibly grateful, and will definitely be back ☺️Guest review byMelindaHungary
- From US$115.06 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 959 reviewsWe had an amazing stay at the Ara Dune hotel. Upon our arrival we received a little gift from their Cosy Home shop, and a gift for our son (little cars), which we really appreciated. The rooms are very clean and well decorated. The airconditioning works well, and other facilities (play room, small living room) were great. Good breakfast. I definitely recommend staying there!Guest review byAurelieBelgium

The room was very well set out and comfortable. I booked a back facing room but they upgraded me to a side room which was nice - from my balcony I had an very nice view of the sea. The breakfast was very good. I would very happily recommend this hotel.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom

Didn't get chance to look round Dunkerque as we were going elsewhere, so only got to see the beach briefly and enjoy a meal at a seafront restaurant, but it looks like a place we would have loved exploring so will come back one day.Guest review byVanessaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Ypres is a perffectly accessible place, very clean and welcoming. Lots of eating and drinking places, and shops, around Grote Markt, and of course many places to see and visist related to WW1. The Menin Gate is a spectacular if sombre reminder of the battles around the Salient.Guest review byRalphUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Nieuwpoort consists of the main town which in a little distance inland, and Nieuwpoort-Bad which is at the seaside. Make sure you pick the right one. Nieuwpoort-Bad is one of the better Belgian seaside towns with shops, good hotels and apartments, and entertainment. It’s also a good base from which to drive or take the Littoral tram along the coast. Parking can be a pain, but most of the seaside towns offer 30mins free then €1 or €1.50 per hour. But you have to register your number plate and take a ticket for the free 30 mins option. Santos Palace in nearby Koksijde is a must visit for hot chocolate, waffles and patisserie.Guest review byAlanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I have travelled back to the UK from De Panne many times, it is only about 50 mins from the tunnel, and far enough away from Calais and all its problems. Plus, De Panne is a Belgian holiday seaside resort, lots of restaurants, and off the promenade, lots of last minute present buying shops. I have bought so much chocolate from here in the past.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 10.0
The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning.
The Beach at Koksijde is absolutely stunning. There are plenty of Restraunts and beach bars. Friday Mornings there is a street market with local belgian foods and other small business vendors. Everything you could want on a beach vacation is easily accessible on ZeeLaan (Main Street) Taking advantage of the KustTram you can travel from DePanne to Ostende (where you can catch the train to Brugge - a definite must see)Guest review byR CraigUnited States - 8.0

Spent most of my time visiting places across the border in French Flanders, but chose to stay just outside Poperinge owing to its location and ease to get to places in both Belgium and France. Went into the town on two evenings to eat at restaurants of which one was ok and the other excellent. The other evenings I went to nearby Ieper. For adults I think that there is ample to do and see in Poperinge and the surrounding area for a couple of days, particulary if you have an interest WW1 or beer, which fortunately I do.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 2.0

We have decided to have a short nap at the hotel on our vacation tour. We have visited the hotel at 3:30am, receptionist opened a door for us, quick check in. Spacious room for family of four. One double bed and two single. Double bed was in separate room. Each room had a tv. Bathroom was with shower and separate bath. Comfy beds, clean. Stain on carpet and broken some curtains. Car park was full at the time we have arrived, we had to park on lawn next to entrance, other cars did the same.Guest review byJakubUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The ramparts, waterways and gardens are interesting.
The ramparts, waterways and gardens are interesting. It is a very small town with a market on Fridays. The walk along the channel to the sea is very pleasant and you can get the free bus back. It has a tourist office but English is not spoken and only 1 brochure in English. There are not many places to eat and we chose to self cater for various reasons. The local buses are free for 40km around so its a good way to see other places locally. The beaches are sandy, clean and vast with the shoreline a long way out so not so convenient for sea swimming.Guest review byCarolUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Dunkerque is a pretty seaside town.
Dunkerque is a pretty seaside town. The beach front reminds me of Knocke (Belgium), with a long sandy beach and long tidal reach. Lots of history for any Englishman, but very little to see. The museum is certainly interesting but focuses on the brave French army who defended Dunkerque rather than the drama of the amazing escape. As usual in any French town, don't feel hungry outside of opening hours (12-2pm for lunch and 7-10pm for dinner). Breakfast was very hard to find (one restaurant on the beach was open early and they had sold out of all the croisants and pain au chocolat!!)Guest review byTim J BlackmoreUnited Kingdom
